Nations, Places, and Situations:
Each time we go overseas on an assignment the Genesis 49:22 verse comes to my mind:
“Joseph is a fruitful vine, a vine near a well whose branches run over the wall.”.
The Lord in His goodness and graciousness allows us to continue to go out “over the wall’’ to nations, places, and situations. Your continued financial support helps us to keep paying the rising flight costs to get to these nations. When there, it helps us to put gas in our tank to drive to the places. And then the prayers; it is the prayers that make a change in the nations, places, and situations.
As we prepare to go over the wall again from April 11th until June 4th, could you help us pray?
There are so many active ministry opportunities that take place in the four main cultural settings at the Bucharest International Church. Add to this the extremely disturbing work in the anti-human trafficking world where cruelty is overcome by compassion to restore broken lives. Opportunities arise that bring change to some of the most horrific and shocking needs on our planet.
This is what we do, this is what you share in, as together we help to recover, restore, and make better the situations among the nations at the places where the Lord allows us to go!
Thank you so much for helping us to make it happen!
Pray with us for:
- The English-speaking International group: one of our primary couples in the ministry team is returning to the UK. Pray that others will now step up, engage, and contribute.
- The Romanian congregation: that there would be a rejuvenation, a new sense of God’s presence that would enthuse this group with purpose, with relational compatibility, and community engagement.
- Pastor Boaz of the Nepalese congregation: presently in Nepal working through VISA issues. Pray that the legalities will be resolved and that he will be able to return to Bucharest soon. Boaz and Ruth make a great team reaching into this cultural group that is becoming Romania’s fastest growing work force.
- The Ukrainian gathering: developing into a longer-term situation. Pray especially for the children, youth, and mothers as they realize that their future may no longer be in the Ukraine. Pray that they would find contentment and direction as they are forced to set a new course for their lives.
- Reaching Out Romania: six of the ten girls in the human trafficking shelter have chosen to give their lives to Jesus in the last year and have been water baptized. Pray that they would experience the loving restoration that comes through the Holy Spirit and that the fruit of the Spirit would begin to govern their behaviours.
