SPAIN, ROMANIA AND TURKEY: Our 6 week ministry was INTENSE, it was INSPIRING, it was deeply INSIGHTFUL.
We worked long hours, including a couple of 20-hour days in Spain, as our assignments from the Salem leadership team took us to 5 regions throughout the country in just 18 days.

Meeting with Pastors Inaki and Merche in Ponferrada, North West Spain, who are transitioning into a new chapter with younger leadership.

Hiking 45 minutes up the mountain that overshadows Martos, the olive growing area in the southern Andalusia region of Spain, to pray over the city and region suffering from unemployment in excess of 30%.

Participating in the home groups in Madrid where leaders are being developed and couples and families are being reunited after giving their lives to the Lord.

Working alongside Maxi and Angela as they create relationships in their community of Aviles on the Cantabrian Coast of northern Spain.

Experiencing the dynamic spiritual growth in the Salem churches of the Basque region: “The result of prayer and intercession,” says Pastor Jesus. And we know that hard, intentional work backs this up.

It was inspiring to see photographer Luke Liable from Chilliwack, BC shoot and capture the story of Spain and the Salem church through film.

We gained great insight as we were introduced to the world of human trafficking of male victims. Two young men, both 21 years of age, one trafficked for labour, the other for sexual profit are now sheltered with Reaching Out, Iana Matei’s home for rehabilitation outside of Bucharest in Romania. It was a highlight to be able to share with this last young man the key verses in Romans relating to salvation.

At the International Church in Bucharest, Pastor Cristi Soimaru continues to lead this church with wisdom and passion. The Ministry Leadership Team and Church Council are acting to purchase property to create more functional facilities. Would you pray that Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, would do just that in providing an appropriate property, building, and funds required for this much needed growth step?

In Turkey, this uniquely situated country that unites Europe and Asia, we met with PAOC global workers from across this region. The deepening relationships among our colleagues create a stronger sense of family in Christ and of purpose in our work as we support each other. Turkey’s geographical situation allows our workers strategic involvement for very intentional ministry into the 10/40 window.

Please believe with us for efforts and events that will be catalytic in advancing our Lord’s work. We value your prayers and partnership with us.
